Steal Your Competitors Keywords

Whats the best way to find keywords to optimize your content around? I know two ways: Enter random keywords into a tool. OR Find the exact keywords that your competitors already rank for.  Both approaches can work. However, I find stealing my competitor’s best keywords is the easier and more successful approach.  Here’s how we do it! 

 

Find A Competing Site That Ranks Well In Google

 
  • Start by reverse engineering sites that already know what they’re doing.
  • Take the URL and pop it into a tool like https Spyfu
  • Now you have a list of Top Keywords they rank for that you are dying to get better Google Search Results for.  

Of course, some of these keywords won’t make sense for your business. For example, they may target keywords that your customers don’t search for. Or maybe they’re ranking for ultra competitive keywords that you have no shot of ranking for.

That’s why you want to focus on the keywords that a) your target customer searches for in Google and B) you could create awesome content around.
